Meet Dr. Michelle Gonzalez
Dr. Michelle J. Gonzalez has been providing Bay Area residents with the highest level of orthodontic care for over three decades. She is a UCSD alumni and completed both her dental degree and orthodontic residency at UCSF where she was a regent scholar, the University’s most prestigious award.
She is a Lifetime Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and prides herself in being a lifetime student of Orthodontics. She is an active alumni taking many continuing education courses staying current in orthodontic technology and products. She was one of the first to utilize 3D technology ( CBCT) in her diagnosis and treatment planning. This allows her to provide her patients, children and adults alike, with information about their airway, sinus and jaw joints as well as providing them with a healthy , beautiful smile in a friendly and nurturing environment.
Dr Gonzalez is a proud mother of two and loves all things Marin and beyond. She loves running, Yoga, hiking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, snorkeling/SCUBA and traveling with friends and family.
Dr Gonzalez is also active in the Marin community supporting a variety of schools, sports and arts!
Meet Our Staff
OBI
Dr. Gonzalez and her two kids welcomed Obi to her home and office when he was only 8 weeks old. Yes! He is named after Obi Wan-Kenobi from Star Wars. His breed is called Habibi Bear and is specifically raised and trained for Autism support and therapy. Obi sure does bring joy and comfort to our office and enjoys greeting our patients. On his free time he enjoys going for long walks, non-chicken treats, and sleeping.
Amy
As one of our office youngsters, Amy has been in the dental field for 7 years. She joined Dr. Gonzalez's team right after graduating College of Marin’s dental program. She helps ensure patients are seen timely and has been thriving with chairside procedures and eager to learn new technology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and family.
Adele
Adele is our newest team member, having started in late 2022, and feels as if she’s been here for years. It is so comforting adding her expertise to the team! She has been a registered dental assistant in the field of orthodontics for over 35 years. She loves her job as it is so rewarding to be a part of a team creating confident smiles. In her free time, she enjoys nature, visiting the wine country and connecting with friends and family.
Lena
As our Patient Care Coordinator, Lena is our scheduling extraordinaire and always there to greet you with a smile. She has over 20 years’ experience in a dental setting. She manages our communications with referring offices, oversees patient contests, community outreach projects and is always eager to keep up with advancing technology to ensure our practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
Sherry
Every office needs an insurance specialist, and Sherry is our most educated financial coordinator. Finances can be overwhelming and Sherry helps work with you and your insurance for the best financial plan. Sherry has years of experience in the financial industry and we are lucky to have her.
Jet
Jet started work as an RDA 7 years ago with Dr. Gonzalez and is now our Treatment Coordinator (TC). She has over 30 years experience working as a Registered Dental Assistant and helps with the clinical work in the office in addition to her role as TC. Her outgoing and affectionate personality is pivotal in helping new and current patients navigate through the world of orthodontics.
Heather
I am a hardworking person who stays busy ! I have been working as a Registered Dental Assistant for 28years and enjoy helping people smile. I have been blessed with 5 kids and 6 grandkids who mean the world to me. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking care of my many cactus and plants, and finding new projects and adventures. My friends would probably say I work too much, but I enjoy being busy and making the most out of life!
