Traditional Arch Development
Traditional arch development utilizes fixed expander appliances together with partial braces to develop the dental arches and improve tooth alignment during growth.
Phase 1 Invisalign
Phase 1 Invisalign treatment provides arch development and tooth alignment using clear aligner therapy specifically designed for younger patients.
Phase 1 Invisalign Palate Expander System
Instead of turning a screw daily with a key, patients simply change to the next custom expander in the series until the palate reaches the desired expansion according to Dr. Gonzalez's treatment plan.
Functional Appliances
During her orthodontic training in Switzerland, Dr. Gonzalez received advanced instruction in the use of functional jaw-growth appliances, such as a Bionator. The goal is to encourage the lower jaw to grow in a more forward direction. If the upper teeth are leaning forward, it can help with this as well. These appliances help guide proper jaw development and improve jaw coordination in growing patients.
Traditional Braces
Traditional braces remain one of the most reliable and effective orthodontic treatment options for correcting mild to complex bite and alignment concerns. Dr. Gonzalez offers several advanced bracket systems to meet each patient's individual treatment needs.
Twin Brackets
Traditional braces use brackets attached to each tooth with the archwire secured by colorful elastic ties. These elastics are changed at every appointment and are available in a wide variety of colors, making treatment both effective and fun for children, teens, and adults.
Self-Ligating Braces
Self-ligating braces use specialized sliding doors instead of elastic ties to secure the archwire. Available in both metal and clear options, these brackets create a cleaner appearance while reducing friction during tooth movement. Colored elastics may still be added if desired. Brackets are places to enhance and protect the Vertical Incisor Position and optimize Smile Arc.
Clear Aligner Systems for Adults and Children
Dr. Gonzalez has been providing orthodontic treatment with clear aligners since the inception of Invisalign in 1999. She has completed extensive continuing education to remain current with Invisalign and other clear aligner technologies, including Ortho-FX and Nuvola.
Ortho-FX, founded by the originators of Invisalign, offers an innovative aligner system that can provide tooth movement with only 9–12 hours of daily wear. In 2025, Dr. Gonzalez also traveled to Italy to complete worldwide Nuvola training, allowing her to offer advanced treatment that combines tooth alignment with myofunctional therapy to address airway health, tongue posture, lip posture, and facial symmetry.
Invisalign
Dr. Gonzalez is a Pearl Invisalign Provider, reflecting her experience successfully treating a high volume of Invisalign cases in her solo private practice.
