Early Orthodontic Treatment

There are several advantages to early treatment. For example, if detected early, harmful habits such as a thumb habit can be corrected to avoid further, more extensive treatment. In addition, early treatment provides a variety of options that adolescent or adult treatment may be unable to offer. Dr. Gonzalez can assess your child’s orthodontic needs and recommend options for treatment.

Traditional/Metal Braces

Traditional braces are typically metal braces, made of high-grade stainless steel, or sometimes in combination with nickel titanium. These braces have brackets that attach to the front of teeth with wires that connect them. Pressure to move the teeth is accomplished by adjusting the wires regularly.

Clear Braces

Clear braces offer the same great benefits of standard metal braces, but are tooth colored to blend in with the natural color of your teeth. Clear braces are a nice aesthetic alternative to metal braces.
